In case you didn't know, Houston Restaurant Weeks has started! HRW is an annual dining event that takes place in Houston to benefit the local Houston Food Bank. Restaurants create specialized three to four course menus for a flat fee from which a part is donated to the Houston Food Bank. Also, restaurants offer menus for brunch, lunch, dinner, or a combination of the three. Therefore, this is a great way to satisfy your food cravings while also donating to a great cause. This year, the event runs from August 1st to September 1st, and I will be highlighting a restaurant at least weekly for you all to check out!
This week, I went to Kata Robata located in the Upper Kirby area of Houston with my sister who was visiting. This restaurant is highly acclaimed in the Houston restaurant community, yet isn't too expensive of a choice to dine out on a regular day. Furthermore, the place offers a great sushi menu and many options for dishes to share. And one more small plug, Kata Robata has great ramen dishes if you are a die-hard ramen fanatic.
